AD5933It is a high-precision impedance converter system solution with on-chip integrated frequency generator and 12-bit, 1 MSPS analog-to-digital conversion (ADC). The signal generated by the frequency generator is used to stimulate the external complex impedance. The response signal of the external impedance is sampled by the on-chip ADC, and then the on-chip DSP is processed by discrete Fourier transform (DFT). The DFT algorithm returns a real (R) data word and an imaginary (I) data word at each frequency.After calibration, it is easy to calculate the impedance amplitude and relative phase of each scanning frequency point. The calculation is completed off-chip by using the register contents of the real and imaginary parts, and the register contents can be obtained from serial I2C interface read.
